As you are aware Prasar Bharati - Doordarshan (DD) is launching its DTH platform using NSS6, a powerful Ku-band satellite by June and it will be operational soon thereafter. DTH platform of Doordarshan will have a 30-40 channel bouquet with 15 channels of DD and 20-25 channels from other popular broadcasters like AajTak, NDTV (Hindi and English), Udaya TV, several ETV Channels, BBC World, Gyan Darshan (IGNOU Channel), Aastha and many others. DD will announce the composition of this bouquet very soon. It is going to be a popular bouquet of channels. As part of this pre-launch, DD has decided to procure 10,000 nos. of 60 cms and 90 cms antenna with LNBF, Cables and BIS approved Set-top Boxes. MCBS has been approved and selected as the supplier for 60 cms & 90 cms antennae, LNBF, BIS Set-top boxes and cables for its DD-DTH project, from among twenty-one parties.

With the launch of DD-DTH which is Free-to-Air (FTA), majority of channels will be made available throughout India through MCBS authorized distributors / dealers. MCBS DTH products comprising 60 cms, 90 cms antenna and Set-top Boxes are based on world's latest and best technology and have been tested and approved world over for several DTH projects. A Brief details of these products are enclosed, herewith.

As you will appreciate, this is a new area and certain amount of education, will be required both for dealers and consumers. MCBS with its technical expertise, experience, technical back up and after sales service support will help all MCBS distributors / dealers through its news bulletins, seminars and conferences to get the best technical advise and guidance on MCBS DTH product services.

Thus MCBS has planned to expand and enhance its network distribution for DTH and SATCOM products throughout India. We therefore, are writing to you with a view to provide us with details for you to become an authorized Dealer / Distributor for DTH products and be a part of this project of DD-DTH.
